Nutritional Yeast. I don’t get it. It sounds awesome. It has this strange musky smell, though. And the taste its somewhat bitter. Right now, I’ve got Asian canned seitan that’s been covered in Nooch. Will it taste good? We’ll see in about 10 minutes…

Anyways, what are some other awesome ways to use nooch besides making cheeze sauces or sprinkling it on stuff?

Heh. Does baked breaded tofu in the style of chicken parmagiana count?

Tempeh all the weh (hehe get it?)

Probably seitan because I just don’t get it.

Seitain Coconut curry, Maybe Seitan Filipino Adobo, Fried Seitan

I really want to make the infamous Seitan o Greatness

No. I hate that kind of stuff, honestly.

What are some guilt-free, vegan snacks that you enjoy?

Yeah so I did it, I finally bought Vegan with a Vengeance. Consider me hooked.

I don’t even care that this could be construed as cheating. It’s jury week* for me, which means I have to spend more time working out since I eat so much vegan yumminess and less time cooking delicious, bloggable foods.

*(That means I have to take all my dance movement exams and I can’t look bloated or tired without suffering a bad grade.)

Most of these I had pregan and I plan on veganizing whatever’s left in my “To Do” list.

Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Milk, baybee. It’s like 40 calories per serving… or something.

I apparently must make my boyfriend someone involving pumpkin. That leaves a lot for me to figure out already. Probably Pumpkin Waffles or Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls or Pumpkin Cheesecake

I don’t eat popcorn…!!!!

I never fail at cooking… >.>

Heh, i suck. I don’t eat candy. Does peanut butter count?

25. Most extravagant food item purchased lately?
Tempeh is high up there price and rarity wise here in North Texas. Mostly it’s specialty alcohol since I just turned 21.

I’m Asian. This means I am often accompanying my mother on some random errand to the “Asian” store. On one such occasion, after I had told my mother of my conversion to non-animal-product-eater, I stumbled upon a row of interesting cans. They were labeled, “Vegetarian Mock Duck.” When I read the ingredients, one of the listed ingredients was Wheat Gluten. I knew I had to have it. I would now finally experience SEITAN.

Enter a couple of weeks later. I had no idea what to do with these things. Every seitan recipe I had found on the internet involved actually making your own seitan. I was very confused. Luckily, I was cruising Vegan Cooking on LJ and I noticed someone had asked a similar question. What DO I do with this can of mock duck?

Apparently the correct answer is Thai Coconut Curry. Don’t you dare say anything otherwise.


HINT: I used that canned Mock Duck and not Tofu. But it’s an excellent recipe as-is, too!
